On January 10th, 2013, Vittorio Sgarbi will inaugurate the 1st International Biennial of Art in Palermo.
The event organized by Paolo Levi and Sandro Serradifalco, will present the Sicilian public with 714 works from various parts of the world. The 1st International Biennial of Arte in Palermo enjoys the patronage of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activity, The Province of Palermo, Sicily Region (Department of cultural heritage and Sicilian identity) and the municipality of Palermo .
The exhibition starts off in the Sala Rossa del Teatro Politeama at Loggiato San Bartolomeo ending up at Villa Malfitano . The foreign and stylistic sections will be held in the Museo Civico d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea "Giuseppe Sciortino" in Monreale .
The selection and admission of 714 artworks is a result of the evaluation of more than 3000 artists who, in the previous months, submitted their works to the Scientific Committee for its processing.
The 1st International Biennial of Arte in Palermo was an idea of The EA publishing house EDITORE-CENTRO DIFFUSIONE ARTE in collaboration with the Artistic Association "the Temple" of Palermo.
The artistic direction of the event is entrusted to Paolo Levi who is the Chairman of the Scientific Committee. Members of the Scientific Committee are also leading figures of the art world from Italy and abroad.
Amongst the artists admitted to the Biennial of Chianciano Terme, in a major role, for Artisse, there is maestro Vincenzo Musardo . The catalogue dedicates its opening pages to him and he has 5 paintings on show in the sala rossa of the Teatro Politeama.
Along side of him there is Balljana, Carlo Antonio Sciacca, Anna Beaver, Dino Cunsolo, Concept Guzzetta, Franco Politano, Domenico Militello, Croce Taravella, Cesare Inzerillo, Paolo Crimi, Clelia Cortemiglia, Gianfranco Days, Ciro Palumbo, Alfio Presotto, Sgarbossa, Monica Antonio Maffei, Rodolfo Tonin.
Fifty countries are represented, with a collection of styles and trends that emphasize a positive multiplicity of languages and cultures.
